The international fair trade movement aims to promote development and poverty reduction in developing countries through building fair, long-term, and sustainable trading relationships.

 

In 2009, Wellington became the first Fair Trade City in the Southern Hemisphere.

 

2019 marks 10 years of Wellington as Fair Trade City and in conjunction with our fair trade partners, we'll be celebrating this milestone over the two week period:

2–15 August 2019.
